Black One / Executive Roles

– Chief Designer –

(CDO)

What you will do:
  • Define, review and establish a unified, consistent artistic vision as well as specific artist brands and visual identities that are in line with the overall company philosophy, brand identity while keeping an eye on project cost objectives and targeted audiences.
  • Plan project budgets and prepare design guidelines, documentation, conceptual drawings, reference material, cinematic direction and (video) storyboards in coordination with the marketing and executive team.
  • Review and control all art and design assets as well as presentation elements destined for the final product. Do this by establishing clear visual targets, giving specific feedback and briefings to the in-house and external teams.
  • Enforce quality across all elements of the project and be responsible for delivering the final look.
  • Lead and manage daily tasks of the art and design team.
  • Recruit, mentor and train team members on aesthetics and production skills.
Must-have requirements:
  • A passion for the music and entertainment industry e.g. pop, hip-hop and electronic music.
  • Excellent eye for graphical quality and knowledge of techniques used to achieve specific visual targets.
  • Strong and varied portfolio with some advanced 2D and 3D design skills.
  • Working knowledge of advanced animation techniques, scene lighting, 3D modelling, etc.
  • An entrepreneurial, self-responsible, pro-active and result-driven mindset.
  • Ability to foster a dynamic positive collaborative team environment and manage project teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and prioritize work to meet specific deadlines.
  • Fluent in English.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of the music and entertainment industry.
  • Connected in Europe’s media/technology sector with prominent VC and Banking contacts.
  • Data mining and data analysis skills.
  • Experience and/or network in the music/entertainment/TV industry is a big plus.

– Chief of Marketing & Branding –

(CMBO)

What you will do:
  • Develop, plan, manage and execute multi-channel marketing/branding/promotion campaigns for specific artists/brands/products across key channels including website, email, SEO, affiliate marketing, mobile apps, co-marketing, PR, web & mobile advertising, social, partnerships, and events to drive awareness and revenues.
  • Build up, lead and manage the marketing team of in-house and external freelancers/agencies.
  • Define pipeline and processes to control and monitor project costs and outcomes.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor and train team members and management on marketing topics on an on-going basis.
  • Analyze competitive positioning, products, brands, and spending.
  • Help develop the public perception and brands of artists & company.
  • Work closely with the CDO and in establishing long-term artists and product brands.
  • Develop various strategies to growth hack artists.
  • Oversee the cultivation of a coherent brand story and corresponding design vocabulary.
Must-have requirements:
  • Passion for the music and entertainment industry e.g. pop, hip-hop and electronic music
  • Strong understanding of consumer mindsets and dedication to build great consumer experiences.
  • Strong practical driven understanding of all existing marketing channels (especially social media).
  • Experience with external marketing, social media, PR agencies, and freelancers.
  • Experience in building a brand and scaling a business.
  • Strong project and people management experience and skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-responsible, proactive and result-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to meet specific deadlines.

– Chief of Finance & Operations –

(CFOO)

What you will do:
  • From an operational and financial perspective, assist and advise the CEO and Executive Team in overall management and the direction of the company. This includes the development and implementation of company strategies, operational goals, and policies.
  • Assist management in making informed business decisions by using key financial metrics to guide decision-making, evaluating ROI/Profitability, and overseeing costs and burn rates.
  • Direct the development and preparation of short and long-term profit/investment plans for each business segment within the company with a comprehensive strategy around each division’s growth potential.
  • Partner with the CEO to help manage and evaluate fundraising, venture debt, and future partnerships and acquisitions.
  • Partner with the CMBO to help track and improve the effectiveness of our marketing budget
  • Steer development of an annual operating budget, forecasts, and strategies in conjunction with our external accountants/auditor.
  • Build up and manage the company’s accounting function, including billing, payables, receivables, cash flow statements and the monthly close in conjunction with our external accountants
Must-have requirements:
  • Proven track record and/or success in (senior) financial and /or operational leadership roles, ideally with exposure to fast-growth or startup environments.
  • Bachelors degree in business administration or relevant major with a focus on finance/accounting and/or 4-5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Wants to manage a small team while remaining hands-on in all aspects of finance, operations and accounting.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Highly articulate in written and verbal communication.
  • Creative problem solver and innovative thinker.
  • Excellent people skills.

– Head of Academy –

(BOA)

What you will do:
  • BLACK ONE ACADEMY is the academy and education division of the BLACK ONE ENTERTAINMENT GROUP that trains upcoming company artists and performers in a Debut Track and anyone wanting to improve their skills in dancing, performance, and vocals in a Non-Debut Track.
  • Build and manage the Academy Division together with the executive management
  • Establish and manage the audition/debut & non-debut candidate pipeline together with the executive management
  • Develop and design curriculum and training plans for the debut and non-debut track
  • Manage and take care of the needs of the students/trainees in the academy environment
  • Scout internationally for the best coaches and instructors primarily in the fields of dancing, performance, vocals etc. and reach out to those for projects
  • Manage the pool of permanent and temporary coaches & instructors
  • Plan and organize workshops, boot-camps, and marketing / open day events in coordination with the management team
  • Prepare yearly outlook, objectives, division roadmap in conjunction with the management team
  • Manage daily tasks, track costs, bills and prepare them for our accountant
  • Recruit, hire, mentor and train team members
Must-have requirements:
  • Relevant experience or track record needed for above-mentioned tasks
  • Strong project management skills
  • Passion for the music and entertainment industry
  • Passion for dance, performance, vocal
